Call for Nominations: ICDE Quality Network

ICDE invites institutional members to nominate candidates for the ICDE Quality Network.

The ICDE Quality Network gives advice and collects knowledge on the latest developments of quality work related to open, flexible and distance learning (OFDL) within their institutions and regions. The network consists of seven Focal Points on Quality (FPQs), who have a leading and coordinating role for quality enhancement of OFDL.

ICDE is now seeking candidates for Focal Points on Quality (FPQs) among ICDE Institutional members from every world region, being quality experts in the field of open, flexible and distance learning.

Nominations must be submitted via email to icde@icde.org by 7 December 2022. Only nominations from ICDE Institutional members will be considered.

Selected candidates for ICDE Focal Points on Quality will be appointed for a period of two years, from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024. Current and previous Focal Points may be renominated.

Commitments for the ICDE Focal Points on Quality

  • In-kind contributions to reports, articles and ICDE communication material for campaigns and events;

  • Availability for four to six virtual meetings annually;

  • Availability and representation at relevant events on behalf of ICDE upon invitation when possible.

Benefits for institutions and selected candidates

  • Access to first-hand knowledge and expertise in a global quality network;

  • International recognition and visibility in the field of quality OFDL;

  • Opportunity to exchange knowledge, practice and discuss among international peers;

  • Opportunity to take part in international collaborative initiatives and projects related to quality OFDL.

Please note, these are not funded positions. However, being appointed to the ICDE Quality Network provides extra profile to the awarded holder and affiliated institution, expressing ICDE’s interest in their voice on Quality OFDL, and underlining their reputation.
