ICDE's Permanent Secretariat is in Oslo, Norway, and has been hosted by this country on a permanent basis since 1988. The Secretary General, who heads the Permanent Secretariat, is appointed by the Board of Trustees and is responsible for the day-to-day business of ICDE and all legal and financial matters.
