ICDE Secretary General, Ms. Torunn Gjelsvik, and Senior Adviser for Membership and Communication, Ms. Sophia Javaid, will be attending the EDEN 2022 Annual Conference in Tallinn, Estonia on 20-22 June. More information on the conference here.

June 2022:
ICDE Secretary General, Torunn Gjelsvik, will be participating in a Ministerial level Transforming Education Pre-Summit, which will be held from 28 to 30 June 2022 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The Pre-Summit will mobilise engagement and support for transforming education ahead of the Transforming Education Summit on 19 September, organised by the UN Secretary General in New York, USA. July 2022:
On 29-30 July, two of our ICDE members, Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and the Asia e-University (AeU), will be facilitating a High-Level Roundtable for Vice Chancellors and Senior Officials in Penang, Malaysia. ICDE will be represented in-person by the ICDE Secretary General, and the Forum will discuss how different institutions responded to the pandemic, the innovations they implemented, and the way forward to build back better.
September 2022:
On 12-14 September, the ICDE Secretary General will be part of a panel discussion at the Digital Universities MENA conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE, hosted by Times Higher Education and Khalifa University. The topic of the panel discussion is “Future thinking: What could a MENA Open University look like?”. More information here.
On 14-16 September, the ICDE President Neil Fassina and Board members of ICDE will host a workshop on the ICDE Global Advocacy Campaign (GAC) at the 10th Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF10) in Calgary, Canada. The Forum is hosted by ICDE members Commonwealth of Learning (CoL) and Athabasca University (AU), and the theme is “Innovations for Educational Resilience”. More information here.
