STUDENT SUCCESS

Student success is defined in different ways in different regions of the world and by different institutions depending on their values and mission.

However there are similarities that run through the theme of student success universally and these underlying beliefs - that a happy student is the best student is at its core. The mental health and well being of the student in a safe and nurturing environment that provides flexibility and affordability will in turn impact on completion rates.

Nationally and internationally a well educated populous plays a vital role in the competitiveness of the individual and society and in turn sustainability.

STUDENTS COME FIRST

ICDE strongly believes in putting the learner at the heart of the work of the ICDE community.

Our work directly impacts on the experience of the student whether it is through initiatives to support the delivery of quality, accessible open education resources (OER), quality teaching, teacher training, leadership support at an institutional level, lifelong learning initiatives, research and innovation into technology and delivery models - ICDE members works to put the student first.

In support of the ongoing work on student success, ICDE delivered a report on the topic.
