Lillehammer Lifelong Learning ICDE Conference

Welcome to the third International Lillehammer Lifelong Learning ICDE Conference 15-17 February 2023!

In a post-pandemic time, learning places and learning spaces need to be re-visited, re-thought and re-invented. After a long period of imposed work from home for those with flexible jobs, new gaps are evolving not only between employees with on-site work and those with hybrid or remote work, but also in the increasing absence of natural socialising spaces. There is a demand for re-inventing physical and online meeting places for formal and informal learning. Resilient education for the future embraces more than ever not only life-span aspects, but also life-wide, contextual dimensions. This poses also new challenges to work towards UN Sustainable Development goals, and in particular No. 4: “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all and promote lifelong learning.”

We invite educators, employers, employees, researchers, experts, politicians, and others involved in competence development for adults to share knowledge and experiences, and together develop future solutions for lifelong learning and lifelong employability.

The conference will build on the 2019 Lillehammer Lifelong Learning Road Map for Lifelong Employability. Then some 400 participants from more than 30 countries across the globe met in Lillehammer for three unforgettable days. The conference were divided in plenary sessions and simultaneous sessions each day with world renown panelists and speakers and were chaired by ICDE president Neil Fassina.
