The International Quality Group of the US Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) has developed a simple set of quality principles that can be put on one page.

ICDE is grateful to Sir John Daniel, O.C., former President of the Commonwealth of Learning and Chair of the Advisory Council of the International Quality Group, for providing this resource.

This simple set of quality principles serves as a framework for international deliberation about quality in higher education. The aim is to seek common ground and establish a foundation for understanding quality. The highest common factors in quality in post-secondary education are given in simple language, valid no matter what the mode of delivery, nor the quality assurance arrangements in a given jurisdiction.
